Job Description


  • Diploma/Vocational School in Electrical related filed or its equivalent, Solar PV System study of equivalent holder preferable.
  • Preferable registered Site Safety Supervisor with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP (Yellow Book holder), ADDITIONAL remuneration for this qualification and active holder.
  • Preferably Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) PW4 / PW2 certification holder or its equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of proven working experience as an Electrical Project Supervisor or similar role. Experienced in supervising Solar PV System project preferable.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory, SEDA, Energy Commission (EC) Feed in Tariff ( IT) and familiar with solar and energy products
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making abilities, strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment & tools and ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Able to simplify technical terms for the benefit of other non-technical stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of Solar PV Systems, codes, regulations and attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Proficiency with Bahasa Malaysia and English written and spoken language.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation for work on short notice
  • Able to start immediately will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate Solar PV System installations, repairs, and maintenance activities and provide technical guidance and training to the solar installation team / sub-contractor
  • Assist Engineer or Project Manager to planning and schedule solar projects tasks to the team members.
  • Assist Engineer review Solar PV System drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure accuracy and feasibility to meet (Material Spec, SOW method statement, etc).
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and records of solar PV system / electrical work.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Monitoring build progress, preparing sites before construction work begins, supervising contractor teams, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist Engineer call on all project meetings among project team members, subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to verify adherence to standards and specifications and ensure technical proposals comply with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
