Position : Solution Architect

Salary : RM 8,000 - RM 12,000

Location : Damansara Uptown

Working Days / Time : 8.30am - 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Job summary

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, overseeing, and guiding the implementation of system architectures that meet business requirements, are scalable, secure, and maintainable, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems. This role provides technical leadership, ensures alignment between business needs and technology solutions, and drives best practices in system design and integration.

Responsibility

Design and develop comprehensive solution architectures for applications, platforms, and system integrations. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. Ensure architectural designs align with business objectives, technology strategy, and IT governance standards. Guide and mentor development teams, providing technical direction, best practices, and design guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. Review and optimize existing systems and architectures to improve performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, integration flows, and design specifications. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, evaluating their applicability to current and future solutions. Evaluate technology options, perform trade-off analyses, and make recommendations to ensure optimal solution choices. Act as a key technical advisor to project teams, management, and stakeholders, ensuring risks and technical constraints are addressed. Perform other ad hoc technical or strategic tasks as assigned by management.

Requirement

Educational & Professional Background

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or a related technical leadership role.

Technical Skills & Expertise

Strong understanding of system architecture, software design patterns, and enterprise integration. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, capacity planning, network, and security best practices. Experience in designing scalable, high-availability, and secure systems. Familiarity with software development lifecycles, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Professional & Leadership Skills

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to lead, mentor, and guide technical teams while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or TOGAF are an advantage. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while delivering high-quality solutions.
