Our Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail Function Team: Dysons Global IT Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail Systems Function has end-to-end accountability for the strategic roadmap, design, delivery, and support of all business applications enabling Dysons global planning, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain aftersales and retail business processes. Forming a large proportion of the IT Function, the team is arranged into three business and technology-focused domains: 1. Planning & Manufacturing Systems 2. Supply Chain Systems 3. Retail Systems About the role The Solution Architect Manufacturing & Supply Chain will be responsible for the design and governance of IT applications and services within manufacturing and supply chain domains for Dyson Group IT. Having a balanced mix of technical and business skills, this role will ensure that solutions are developed appropriately - aligned to the local business requirements and global architectural standards. In addition to technology components, solution architecture encompasses changes to services, processes, organisation, and operating models. The provision of comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices, and those existing and planned solution components remain compatible. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager - Solutions Architect within the Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail Function Team. Responsibilities: Responsible for Dysons end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain IT solutions which cover planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sales, distribution, eCommerce and aftersales. Working in alignment with the global architecture teams (solution, data, security, infrastructure, and integration) to oversee the architectural design in manufacturing and supply chain domains. Working with third party technology vendors, system integrator and other partners to understand future trends, innovation, and opportunities to identify capability gaps, and build architecture roadmaps. Acting as the design authority point of contact for business cases and projects within the assigned solution landscape. Representing manufacturing and supply chain group IT in global architecture governance forums and various design authority groups. Acting as a contributing member of programme and project teams - from project inception to completion. Designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating systems, policies, and procedures in line with the global IT strategy, working closely with the other Group IT functions. Developing and maintain architecture models, technology strategies and solution roadmaps that articulate and guide application strategy, in alignment with Dysons corporate strategy and blueprint. Essential: Over 7 years\' solution architecture and/or technology consulting experience in similar industry with a dynamic global organisation. Experience of full software delivery lifecycle with at least three SAP end-to-end implementation within a complex heterogeneous system environment. Experience in design and implementation of manufacturing systems and operations in discrete as well as process industry. Experience in designing and integrating of systems and processes for third-party managed distribution centres and contract manufacturers. Strong working knowledge in following applications and system landscapes: SAP S/4HANA ERP systems especially procurement, production, quality management, plant maintenance, logistics, warehousing, sales and logistics modules (MM, PP, QM, PM, SD, WM, LE) Advanced planning systems such as SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis or related systems. Integration of core SAP S/4HANA with third party systems including MES, LIMS, warehouse management, order management, retail POS, web stores, CRM, product development and lifecycle management. Ability to translate business needs, identify technology, functionality and methods that could be of significant benefit to Dyson and drive those through into successful implementation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Desirable: Working knowledge of the region as well as global regulation landscape. Experience in utilizing an architecture framework and approaches (e.g. TOGAF) A strong desire to stay informed of technological developments and understanding their applicability to Dyson business problems and opportunities.
