Job Purpose
The SketchUp Solution Consultant is responsible for driving technical excellence, solution adoption, and business growth for SketchUp across Malaysia and Singapore. Acting as the bridge between SketchUp, Value Added Resellers, solution partners, and end?users, this role ensures successful integration of SketchUp solutions into customer workflows across architecture, engineering, construction, interior design, and related industries.
The consultant leverages customer insights, partner feedback, and technical expertise to deliver impactful demonstrations, training, workflow optimization, and post?sales support that accelerate regional growth.
Responsibilities
Pre?Sales, Post?Sales & Technical Services
Lead and coordinate pre?sales demonstrations, technical discussions, solution positioning, and workflow presentations for SketchUp and its ecosystem.
Support post?sales activities including deployment, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
Conduct in?depth technical discovery to understand customer workflows, pain points, and business requirements, recommending the right SketchUp solutions and services.
Provide billable consulting services for customer projects, including template creation, workflow design, and integration with other Trimble solutions.
Work closely with partners and customers to identify recurring issues and collaborate with SketchUp/Trimble teams to resolve them.
Partner & Customer Enablement
Organize and deliver enablement programs for Value Added Resellers and customers, including:
Technical training
Mentoring
Workshops
Webinars and seminars
Certification or skills?development sessions
Deliver online and in?person training for sales partners and end?users across Malaysia and Singapore.
Support partners with technical knowledge, competitive positioning, and solution differentiation.
Business Growth & Market Development
Drive SketchUp adoption by aligning partners and customers with the product roadmap, value proposition, and regional business strategy.
Support partners in building strong SketchUp pipelines, improving attach rates, and expanding into new industry segments.
Participate in marketing initiatives, industry events, trade shows, and customer roadshows to promote SketchUp solutions.
Identify measurable outcomes from delivered activities, such as productivity gains, workflow improvements, and user learning curve acceleration.
Marketing & Content Creation
Create social media content in various formats (short?form videos, posts, reels, carousels) to promote SketchUp workflows, tips, and success stories.
Develop brochures, one?pagers, workflow guides, and other marketing?related materials to support partner campaigns and customer education.
Collaborate with Business Units to produce technical?marketing content that highlights SketchUp's value proposition and industry relevance.
Support marketing initiatives with technical insights, demo assets, and content tailored for regional audiences.
Thought Leadership & Content Development
Serve as the regional subject?matter expert for SketchUp and its ecosystem.
Create and publish benchmarks, workflow guides, best practices, and technical articles for internal and external platforms.
Provide insights on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to influence product and business strategy.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Technical & Industry Expertise
3+ years of experience in vendor, channel, or solution consulting roles; or 5+ years in channel?driven software environments.
Deep expertise in SketchUp and its ecosystem: SketchUp Pro, Layout, Sefaira, Trimble Connect, Extensions.
Hands?on experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with strong understanding of interoperability and workflow integration with SketchUp.
Strong background in Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) or related design/technical fields.
Practical understanding of AEC workflows including conceptual design, 3D modeling, visualization, documentation, and project delivery.
Familiarity with industry standards, modeling practices, and multi?software workflows across design and construction.
Solid knowledge of IT fundamentals (operating systems, networks, cloud technologies, databases, scripting).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Ability to translate technical workflows into measurable business value and productivity improvements.
Business & Communication Skills
Proven ability to influence and align VARs, partners, and customers toward shared business outcomes.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in Malay, Mandarin, or Tamil is an advantage.

Persistent, resilient, and comfortable operating in a high?growth software environment.
Qualifications
Technical degree or equivalent qualification in architecture, engineering, construction, design technology, or related fields.
