Functional Description

The Sourcing and Procurement Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for ensuring that the sourcing and procurement processes of a company are efficient, effective, and aligned with overall business objectives.


  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies: The Operations Excellence Manager must analyze the company\'s procurement needs, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies that will help the company to achieve its goals. This includes developing sourcing strategies, vendor selection criteria, and supplier relationship management programs.
  • Managing the procurement process: The Operations Excellence Manager oversees the procurement process from start to finish, including negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and monitoring supplier performance. This involves ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Improving procurement operations: The Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve procurement operations and reduce costs. This includes implementing new technologies, optimizing processes, and managing risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders: The Operations Excellence Manager must work closely with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with overall business objectives. This involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and effectively communicating procurement goals and strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance: The Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. This includes maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, and ensuring that all contracts and agreements are properly executed.
  • Develop and implement procurement operations strategies and policies that align with the company\'s overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the Procurement Operations team to ensure the efficient and effective execution of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve procurement processes and drive cost savings.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure procurement performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Provide guidance and support to procurement staff on complex procurement issues, including contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
  • Identify and manage risk associated with procurement operations and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on procurement trends, best practices, and industry developments.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement operations or related field.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement and cost savings through procurement operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and tools, including e-procurement and spend management software.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
