Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sourcing Engineer is responsible for managing supplier sourcing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply of raw materials, machined parts, and components for Engtek's precision manufacturing operations. This role involves supplier evaluation, cost analysis, negotiation, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to support new product and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for precision machining, metal fabrication, and related materials. Source components based on engineering drawings, specifications, and BOM requirements. Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to ensure supplier compliance with technical and quality standards. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost reduction targets. Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments (on quality, delivery, and responsiveness). Support

new product introduction (NPI)

and

project transfer

by ensuring supplier readiness and capability. Monitor and analyze material market trends, lead times, and supply risks. Maintain supplier database and procurement documentation in ERP system. Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and delivery reliability. Ensure sourcing activities comply with Engtek's corporate policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering

or related field. Minimum

3-5 years

working experience in

sourcing or procurement

within a

precision machining or manufacturing environment

. Strong understanding of

machining processes

, metal materials (aluminum, stainless steel, etc.), and finishing processes. Experience in

cost analysis

, supplier development, and negotiation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Proficient in

Microsoft Excel

and

ERP/MRP systems

(e.g., SAP, Oracle). Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
