Roles & Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with Engineering on New Product Development to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers \xe2\x80\xa2 Interact with Engineering teams to ensure suppliers are involved in development and review of specifications to promote design for manufacturability. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate, source and negotiate cost-effective solution for RFQ \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s goals \xe2\x80\xa2 Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology. \xe2\x80\xa2 To participate in supplier selection and qualification. \xe2\x80\xa2 To carry out regular supplier audits and prepare necessary reports. \xe2\x80\xa2 To compile a AVL database on existing and new suppliers & keeping all relevant information and details about each supplier. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing activities with production schedules and project timelines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies and innovations in CNC machining. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify potential new vendors and evaluate their capabilities to expand the supplier base and improve sourcing option. \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time as deemed necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 To evaluate and select suppliers base on their capabilities, quality, pricing, delivery and other relevant criteria. \xe2\x80\xa2 To handle independently the negotiation process of purchase terms and conditions with the suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 To manage relationship with suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 To manage the budget allocation for sourcing activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Other authority to be assigned by the superior from time to time whenever deemed appropriate. Minimum Requirements (Education & Work Experience): \xe2\x80\xa2 A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as material science, mechanical engineering or CNC manufacturing technology. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 5-7 years of experience in a CNC machining role focusing on material selection, processing, procurement or supply chain management with some experience in a supervisory or leadership role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong knowledge of different types of materials used in CNC manufacturing, including sheet metal, plastic and composites. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with the material properties, machining parameters and optimization techniques with the ability to understand and analyze technical specification. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good supervisory & leadership skills can communicate effectively and motivate the team effectively.
