Our client is a well-known industry market leader in the essential services sector. They are looking to hire experienced SOX personnel to join their regional internal audit team. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Regional SOX Manager, based in Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the annual SOX scoping analysis, risk assessment and creation of risk control matrix for financial processes
• Execute SOX control testing and preparation of relevant SOX reports, findings, and remediation plans in accordance with corporate standard
• Participate in preparation of SOX reporting packages for local and regional management
• Perform process and control walkthroughs to validate and document significant financial reporting risks, classes of transactions, key/non-key controls, etc.
• Perform and monitor control analysis and participate in development of remediation plan with the management team in the event that deficiency is identified

Skills & Experience Required:

• MUST be a professionally qualified accountant ie. CIA, IIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, preferably with a career foundation in a Big 4 Firm.
• Experienced in SOX Compliance, COSO Framework and US GAAP with strong working knowledge of internal controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Experience in WorKiva is an added advantage
• Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Excellent written and communication skills in English
