Key Responsibilities1. Spare Parts Planning & Inventory Control
Develop and implement spare parts planning strategies based on maintenance needs and equipment criticality.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages and reduce excess stock.
Monitor stock movements daily and update the system (ERP/WMS) accurately and timely.
Conduct periodic inventory forecasting based on usage trends and machine breakdown history.
Ensure proper stock classification (critical, consumable, slow-moving, obsolete).
2. Procurement & Replenishment
Create PR/PO requests for spare parts according to lead time and supplier availability.
Coordinate with purchasing to track order status, delivery timelines, and urgent requests.
Evaluate supplier performance related to delivery accuracy and reliability.
3. Maintenance Coordination
Work closely with Maintenance/Engineering teams to understand spare part needs, preventive maintenance schedules, and urgent breakdown requirements.
Ensure critical spare parts are available before planned PM shutdowns.
Assist in identifying alternative parts or cost-saving replacement items.
4. Warehouse & Documentation Management
Ensure spare parts are correctly labeled, stored, and issued following FIFO/FEFO principles.
Maintain accurate stock cards, GRN records, and issuance logs.
Perform monthly/quarterly stock checks and support internal/external audits.
Manage disposal or write-off processes for obsolete or damaged spare parts.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on spare parts consumption, stock levels, slow-moving items, and cost analysis.
Track and report key KPIs such as stock accuracy, stock turnover rate, and urgent request frequency.
Implement continuous improvements to reduce spare parts cost and improve planning accuracy.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
1-3 years experience in spare parts planning, maintenance planning, supply chain, or warehouse operations (manufacturing preferred).
Experience using ERP/WMS systems.
Strong inventory planning and analytical skills.
Understanding of mechanical/electrical spare parts (bearings, motors, sensors, consumables, etc.).
Good communication skills to coordinate with maintenance and suppliers.
Proficiency in MS Excel, inventory software, and reporting tools.
Attention to detail, strong organization, and urgency handling.
