bjectives of the Position

  • Be an integral part in shaping the pioneering, agile, and exciting Asia Pacific Communications Services team at the BASF Shared Services Centre Kuala Lumpur (hereafter referred to as \xe2\x80\x98Hub\xe2\x80\x99)
  • Provide consultation on all digital communications and branding matters for the Japan market
  • Lead implementation of digital communications strategies and activities in Japan such as, BASF Japan website, intranet, BASF Japan Facebook page, LinkedIn post, customer webinars, and online/hybrid events, while working with other teams in the hub and on ground in Japan
  • Collaborate with the senior communication colleague on ground in Japan, to ensure service quality to stakeholders

Main Tasks

  • Work closely with the Communications Advisory team in the Hub and colleagues in Japan, to manage the integrated digital communications activities for Japan
  • Provide digital content strategy and consultation with PESO model (paid, earned, shared, owned) - Facebook, LinkedIn, BASF Japan (website, intranet, etc.)
  • Design, update and maintain BASF Japan website \xe2\x80\x93 translating articles, creation and maintenance of corporate and product promotion pages, performance reporting (including regular news release uploading), etc
  • Design, update and maintain the BASF Japan intranet \xe2\x80\x93 creation and maintenance of pages and performance reporting
  • Manage BASF Japan\xe2\x80\x99s social media \xe2\x80\x93 create and post articles and manage comments, drive engagement (Facebook page, LinkedIn post)
  • Organize customer webinars and internal online/hybrid events with Communications Advisory/other stakeholders (US webcast team, etc.) \xe2\x80\x93 creating the event link, Mentimeter, technical rehearsal, technical advice, etc.
  • Provide consultation on branding matters including brand alliance

inimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
  • Education: University degree or above in communications, digital marketing, or related fields
  • Working Experience:
    • Significant demonstrated success in communications in a multicultural corporate environment.
    • Specialist communicators will be preferred. Minimum experience of 4-5 years.
    • Some experience living or working in Japan or handling projects for the Japan market is a must.
    • Ability to work with various stakeholders and create proactive partnerships.
    • Actively contribute to a collaborative climate.
    • Eagerness to upskill and learn about latest trends in communications.
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge:
    • Excellent command of Japanese and English in spoken and written form
    • Working knowledge of Japanese markets
    • Attention to detail, creative and results orientated
    • Excellent working knowledge of digital platforms and tools (CMS, social media etc.)
    • Have knowledge in churning reports (social media and others)
