You will work closely with the commercial department, as well as with the Operations department to reconcile voyage accounts. You have a good understanding of charterparties in order to take responsibility for all commercial operational matters. You must be able to handle complex laytimes, multiple discharge ports and charterparties terms and conditions. Your dispute management will be to be best in class and you will be an excellent communicator, written and oral.Accountabilities:

  • Completes freight execution activities in alignment with KPIs.
  • Executes and optimises shipping practices by applying material, ship and port knowledge.
  • Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value.
  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gains support for and negotiates outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.
  • Applies an understanding of terms and conditions, laws, regulations and guidelines when conducting day-to-day work activities to reduce likelihood of financial/reputational risk and liabilities.
  • Identifies, implements and evaluates the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes.
About YouDemonstrates passion for delivering superior results; strives to continuously improve processes, systems or services.Good understanding of the following Maritime processes:
  • Voyage Economics for time charters, voyage charters
  • Lay time calculation, bulk and oil and gas trade and export Documentation
  • Financial reconciliation of voyages
  • Lay times, understanding CP contracts and negotiating
  • Freight Differentials Calculations (receivers and owners)
  • Processing efficiency, ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage the month end process and get sign off from relevant management representative
  • Dispute resolution management, tracking and escalation
  • Ideally have experience with SAP.
  • College/University Degree preferably with disciplines such as Shipping, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting
  • Experience in wet/dry bulk freight execution
