Role Responsibility: Technology and Project Management

  • Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of an oversight framework for Operational Resilience activities that will include IT resilience, third party resilience and crisis management
  • Implement Operational Resilience Programme to meet PRA's SS1/21 expectations for the operational resilience of SCBs' important business services by 2025.
  • Identify technology services mapped to IBS and validate capability to recover within impact tolerance.
  • Operationalise SS1/21 requirements of mapping, testing and risk identification (including implementation controls) for about 200 services mapped to 19 IBS.
  • Perform technology Resilience assessments; includes operational and service management processes; independent challenge and testing of controls on operational resilience.
Skills Required
  • Subject matter expertise in business continuity, operational resiliency or IT disaster recovery
  • Strong knowledge of security/ resilience frameworks, principles and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial related products and operations will be preferred.
  • Strong experience in data analysis especially drawing meaningful conclusions from large/diverse datasets.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across Businesses, Functions and Countries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter, able to self-manage with strong collaboration skills

Qualifications
  • Good understanding of Project delivery methodologies - Agile, SDLC, Prince
  • Years of exp - 5 to 10 years
  • IT DR Qualifications
Role Specific Competencies
  • Strong project management background having experience in resilience, continuity and technologies.
  • Structured decision making and superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to grasp the big picture of the business drivers and IT drivers to create solutions and work at a detailed level, as may be required by business and IT teams to implement solutions
  • Ability to identify similar problem patterns and create standard solutions while adapting these to the peculiar needs of a given business or IT problem
  • Ability to develop designs and solutions that pay attention to architecture design quality, cost effectiveness and the inherent risks in approach while proposing credible and effective mitigations
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across the firm to leverage previous experiences, utilities and shared capabilities
  • Formulates solutions that are credible and holistic and take into consideration a broad array of factors that will shape the solution design. These include feasibility of testing, implementation, availability of skills for the technology, viability of relevant third parties
  • Very knowledgeable about best practices, industry standards, open-source, emerging trends
  • Good visualization and presentation skills to create visual models and experience using industry modelling tools
  • Excellent team player with ability to communicate effectively with software engineers, infrastructure engineers, business analysts, and business managers
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Business or Risk Management (or equivalent professional qualification).
