Role Responsibilities SRE Specialist - who will be responsible for Retail Security, Messaging and Api Gateway application support. The candidate will be responsible for managing L2 and L3 production support and at the same time will be able to deliver automation and code fixes solutions independently. The candidate will be coordinating with project team and business stakeholders to understand application design and functionality and resolve provide timely resolution for any issues reported by stakeholders or business users by managing support for Security, Messaging and Kong/API Gateway platforms. The candidate will be responsible to partner with project team, product engineering team and business leads in ensuring the service levels are met and take end to end ownership of the Production support. The candidate will be responsible for acting on the functional/technical activities assigned to him/co-staff including incident, problem, and change along with SLA management Strategy . Awareness and understanding of the Group\'s business strategy and model appropriate to the role. Business . Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates Processes . Application Production support responsibilities and stability as part of SRE. Responsible for change management into production. Responsible for faster production incidents resumption, root cause identification, problem fixing Responsible for identifying & delivering improvement opportunities such as, Manual task automations, Performance/Throughput improvements, Batch optimisation etc, that will ultimately improve the production service/stability Responsible for identifying & implementing solutions to improve overall Tech operations efficiency, that should result in cost saves/avoidance Responsible to lead a team to ensure SLOs are met and SLIs are improved Act as a bridge between Build teams, interfaces teams and other key stakeholders. Assuming situation manager role during incidents and crisis. People & Talent . Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles. Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans. Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives. Risk Management . The ability to interpret and identify key risks issues in system and put in place appropriate controls and measures Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to Risk Committees Governance . Accountable to govern the adherence to tech policies and processes required to support applications in production environment. Business domain head, Tribe leaders, Application and Interface teams, CERT team, CTM, Country and Group Businesses. Our Ideal Candidate : - 10 to 12 years of overall IT experience in production support, application development, DevOps Or SRE & added support engineer. Have technical knowledge and hands on experience on basic Java framework such as Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate, API Gateway, Tomcat 8, Apache http Experience in HSM nCipher - good to have. Experience in PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle, My SQL. Knowledge in Unix/Linux, Windows administration, OpenShift , Kubernetes. Experience in AWS Cloud and OpenShift container platform . Drive and report achievements through key performance indicators and success stories Responsible for creating a framework for periodic reporting and identification for areas of improvement in operational performance parameters Define and help to develop interactive dashboards / analytical reports Lead department\'s branding and marketing strategy, manage and standardize communications channels and publications Support department head on general and team administrative, strategy execution, transformation, stakeholders and vendor management Streamline and simplify processes to support agile and speed to markets while maintaining high level of controls Any experience in 1 or more of the following technical skills will be added advantage. Technical Skills: .Monitoring/analytical tools such as ITRS, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, Sysdig. .Microservices management tools such as Kong, Api Gateway. .In-memory/Distributed databases like Postgres .DevOps tool stack such as Jenkins, Ansible, BitBucket, GIT, Maven, Docker, Rundeck. .Messaging/Streaming tools like Kafka, Active MQ, iMFT, FileID .Programming/Scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Power shell, Bash, Java / J2EE, Angular JS, Spring & Microservices Soft skills: .Excellent communicator with strong command in English .Expressive, creative and ability to think out-of-box .Enthusiastic problem solver with exceptional analytical skill .Strong team player but able to complete tasks independently with minimal guidance .Never settle mindset, always challenge the status quo .High learning aptitude, able to learn new products and technology very quickly ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES AND PROFICIENCY LEVELS.
