The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of business applications, ensuring that coding is completed on time and meets the required standards. This role requires strong programming skills, particularly in Spring Boot and Java EE, as well as experience in Oracle databases and system integration. The candidate will also play a crucial role in guiding junior developers and ensuring the overall quality of the developed systems.\xe2\x80\x8bYour responsibilitiesTechnical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical design documentation and specifications in alignment with business requirements and project standards.Application Development: Ensure timely and accurate coding of business applications, adhering to project schedules and guidelines.Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all development activities comply with System Development Guidelines and Standards, and that the developed systems meet both system specifications and user requirements.Collaboration: Engage in continuous communication with team members, users, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.Technology Updates: Stay informed about the latest advancements in computer technology and assess their impact on the business environment.\xe2\x80\x8bYou will haveBachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field, with the ability to guide and review the work of junior developers.Programming Skills: Proficiency in Spring Boot (mandatory), Spring, and Java EE.Database Skills: Good experience with Oracle Database 11g or higher, specifically PLSQL.Security: Experience in designing security for application integration without using third-party software.Server Management: Experience with JBOSS and Tomcat server environments, including troubleshooting.Web Services: Strong knowledge of JSON, RESTful API, and Web Services.Architecture: Experience in Microservices Architecture design.High-Volume Applications: Experience in developing enterprise-level, high-volume transactional applications with cross-platform code sharing and cross-browser compatibility.Build Tools: Experience with Maven, CLI build scripts is an added advantage.DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jira and Jenkins is an added advantage.Backend Skills: Proficiency in Java and Oracle databases is a plus.Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.\xe2\x80\x8bPlease Note: This role is open only to Malaysian citizens.\xe2\x80\x8bIf you are seeking to join a collaborative team and are prepared to assume significant team responsibilities, this opportunity is tailored for you.
