Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and business analysts to understand and gather database requirements.

Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

Create, modify, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality.

Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing, and resource utilization to ensure optimal response times.

Analyse and troubleshoot slow-running queries, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance enhancements.

Work closely with the IT team to integrate databases with various IT systems, applications, and software components.

Implement and enforce data security measures, including user authentication, authorization, and encryption.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve database-related issues promptly and effectively.

Participate in data migration and transformation projects, ensuring data consistency and accuracy during the process.

Design and develop database architecture that aligns with business requirements and supports efficient data management.

Create interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in database development, optimization, and IT system integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus

Proven work experience as a SQL Developer with a strong focus on MSSQL database development and management.

Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, indexing, and performance optimization.

Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Experience with database integration into IT systems, applications, and software components.

Familiarity with data migration, ETL processes, and data transformation techniques.

Knowledge of data security practices and measures in a database environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve database-related issues.

Experience in creating complex functions, stored procedures, and database-driven applications.

Ability to design database architecture and create interactive dashboards for business intelligence reporting.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
