Job Description

Position: Senior Backend Engineer

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

5+ years of backend development experience with Java

Proficiency

in Java 11+, Spring Boot, Oracle and MS SQL Server

Strong understanding of RESTful API design and CI/CD tools Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, and Agile/Scrum methodologies Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

Design and build secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot Develop RESTful APIs and ensure reliable integration with internal and external systems Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality Collaborate with QA, frontend, product owners, and DevOps teams Conduct peer code reviews and provide structured feedback Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger Optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues Contribute to system architecture and database logic (Oracle, MS SQL Server) Mentor junior developers and uphold coding standards

Select appropriate design patterns and frameworks Recommend architectural changes and implementation approaches Propose technical solutions to blockers and challenges Apply best practices for error handling, modular design, and CI/CD
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM11,000.00 per month
