Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa\'s consulting division, serving Visa\'s clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results for Visa\'s clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. What a Senior Client Consulting Manager does at Visa:

The Senior Client Consulting Manager will be a key member of the Visa Analytics and Consulting (VCA) team in Malaysia. As a Senior Manager, you will undertake consulting engagements for Visa clients in Malaysia, and partner with VCA, Business, and Technology teams across the organization to enable portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients\' payment business.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Cultivate relationship with Visa\'s clients and partners - Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants & Fintech firms, by being strategically focused, optimize client performance and implement recommendations in areas of customer life cycle management, and new product development and launches.
  • Drive client conversations, business development, including executive meetings to secure strategic projects, assessing client needs, proposing relevant VCA services, scoping and pricing, and confirming new projects.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Visa teams to bring a holistic solution to our clients leveraging Visa\'s rich value-added services (VAS) from functions such as Marketing, Products, Risk, and Merchant Solutions.
  • Develop propositions by closely working with Account Executives, promoting solutions with external clients, and executing as well as delivering the consulting engagement to clients.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

We are looking to hire candidates that have already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry, results-driven and client-centric. As a candidate you should have:
  • Degree (Masters or Ph.D. would be an advantage) in Business Administration, or Economics or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in retail banking or financial services consulting, with most of that time in cards and payments and/or closely related industries
  • Experience in several key issuer business areas, such as portfolio management, marketing, product management, loyalty and reward program management, operations, risk management, for both credit and debit cards
  • Strong understanding of card issuers\' and acquirers P&L and critical factors in driving performance & profitability
  • Strong Digital know-how and experience
  • Consulting experience preferred with payments, project management and/or process re-engineering credentials preferred
  • In-market experience and/or knowledge of local culture as well as regulation and industry trends
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the local payment landscape including Fintech
  • An understanding of statistical analysis, modelling, scoring schemes, etc.
  • Storyboarding and data storytelling including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
