Job Description


Are you an emerging technologist interested in solving complex business problems? Your role will give you direct customer engagement where you will provide technical assistance for the data science activities, along with your knowledge of industry segment processes and challenges to do the following:Primary ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges and translate them into SAS technical solutions that deliver tangible business value.
  • Provide consultative services, including architecture recommendations to support proposed solutions, and possess technical expertise to solve complex big data problems using SAS\'s advanced analytics, data management, and visualization capabilities.
  • Identify appropriate SAS applications, tools, and solutions for targeted customer accounts.
  • Prepare technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Provide consultative services, including architecture recommendations, to support the proposed solutions.
  • Engage in discovery calls and meetings to uncover the customer\'s specific pain points, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by providing detailed technical solutions and creating comprehensive proposals.
  • Prepare Terms of Reference (TOR) documents for the bidding process, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and SAS features against competitors.
Showcase Development
  • Build industry-specific showcases to demonstrate how the SAS solutions can address the customer\'s business challenges.
  • Understand, utilize, and communicate best practice methodologies and industry standards both internally and externally.
  • Deliver compelling demonstrations of the showcases to external customers to drive the business value of SAS.
  • Continuously enhance showcases based on feedback and technological advancements.
  • Elaborate the deployment process of SAS software and supporting products for knowledge sharing and demonstration purposes.
Sales Support
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support during the sales cycle.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitors\' offerings to position SAS solutions effectively.
  • Assist in the creation of sales proposals, RFP responses, and other technical collateral.
Knowledge Sharing
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for customers, partners and SAS internal team to enhance their understanding and knowledge of SAS solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, analytics, and SAS technologies, and share knowledge with the team.
RequirementsEssential Skills
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence.
  • 1+ years of experience in data science or equivalent combination of education, training, and internship experience.
  • Proficiency in programming with SAS and other languages like R, Python, SQL, Bash/Shell Scripting Bash/Shell Scripting etc.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Passion for working at SAS to make an impact and eager to grow your career in data analytics and artificial intelligence with SAS.
Additional Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with users from diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage workloads efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple pre-sales tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Certification in SAS or related technologies is desirable.
