Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add a Senior Director, Technical Program Management located in Bukit Minyak, Pulau Pinang.

Responsible for leading a team (direct or virtual) to execute multiple programs across customer accounts and ensure execution of these programs across all Flex functional areas to meet the customer requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Successfully guides and influences senior level management, executives and key clients in their decision input needs.
• Provides the necessary/accurate leadership, management and support to site Managers to ensure projects are executed as planned.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with customers in support of program and account governance
• Directs a team of Program and Project Managers who are leading product development programs and projects for customers following the Flex product development process and quality management system
• Responsible for and reports on program and project portfolio tracking KPI\xe2\x80\x99s (schedule, budget, scope, product material cost, maturity, risks)
• Leads governance of site project portfolio including resolution of inter-department dependencies with engineering functional leaders
• Establishes internal process benchmarks and shares and implements them at other Flex locations as needed
• Develops and sustains project management leadership, responsible for managing plan integration involving cross-functional teams, primarily mechanical, electrical, and software
• Ensures effective project management interface for customers and suppliers of critical parts
• Helps supervisors to ensure that department requirements are correctly implemented
• Ensures that project management staff develops and delivers high quality documentation
• Monitors and resolves project risks and issues, through application of project management expertise and allocation of resources
• Ensures solid project and product risk management methods are applied including System RA, DFMEA, pFMEA, traceability, and implementation
• Fosters growth of team and develops talent domain expertise
• Supports (global) PMO to establish and continuously improve PM processes
• Supports the site lead and business development managers to evaluate the proper fit of new opportunities into the organization
• Manages staffing and department budgets per approved plans
• Ensure collaborative cross-functional teamwork to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control all phases of the customer programs from RFQ through development, NPI, and ramp to stable production.
• Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Program & Project Managers (design, NPI, operations, etc.) to ensure programs are executed to plans and customer issues are handled properly.

The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:

• Functional knowledge, education background or a minimum of 12 years relevant working experience required.
• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.
• Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
• Implements business/functional strategy with a long-term focus.
