Job Responsibilities:

End-to-End Product Development
o Lead the full product development lifecycle for new connectivity solutions, including:

Concept & Feasibility: Work with customers and Product Managers to define requirements (VOC), then create concepts, perform feasibility studies, and run mechanical/thermal simulations. Detailed Design: Create detailed 3D/2D designs, perform tolerance analysis and DFMEA, and develop product specifications. Validation & Qualification: Build and test prototypes, complete product qualification, and finalize all technical documentation. Production Support: Provide technical leadership to Quality and Production teams for safe launch, continuous improvement, and resolution of any product-related issues (including ECN/PCN management). Technical Leadership & Customer Partnership
o Act as a key technical expert, building a deep understanding of customer applications and market needs.

o Develop and present engineering proposals and solutions directly to customers.

o Provide ongoing technical support to customers, Sales, and Product Management teams, conducting necessary tests, engineering analyses, and troubleshooting.

Project & Global Collaboration
o Follow the LEANPD project management process to ensure new product development projects meet time, quality, and budget commitments.

o Work closely with global manufacturing resources, procurement teams, and external suppliers to meet all technical, quality, and cost objectives.

o Execute all required technical documentation, including design drawings, change notices, and design history files.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role. Strong background in the design and development of electrical components/devices, such as sockets and connectors. Deep knowledge of mechanical design principles including material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with manufacturing processes like machining, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly. Expert user of 3D Design applications (e.g., Creo , Spaceclaim ). Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (e.g., Ansys Workbench). Fluent in English (both verbal and written) for effective global communication. Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment across different time zones. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle moderately complex situations using data and critical thinking.
