The Payment & Settlement Officer is responsible to ensure accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting of card-related transactions, settlements, and regulatory payments, while supporting internal and external stakeholders with data and documentation requests.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing & Reconciliation
  • Process merchant and customer payments and transactions.
  • Perform reconciliation and maintain general ledger entries for all card-related transactions.
  • Card Scheme Settlement
  • Manage settlement processes, billings and invoices from card schemes.
  • Reconcile card scheme transactions, billings, invoices and update relevant general ledgers.
  • Regulatory Payments & Reporting
  • Execute payments to regulatory bodies and ensure accurate reconciliation and ledger updates.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Card Scheme Reporting
  • Compile and prepare quarterly reports for Visa and Mastercard using data from various internal sources and departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of card scheme reports.
  • Statement Fulfilment
  • Retrieve and fulfill merchant statement requests as per service level agreements.
  • Ad-hoc Assignments
  • Support any additional tasks or projects as required.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in card operations, reconciliation, or financial reporting is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced use of formulas, functions and Power Query.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
