Purpose & Accountabilities

We are looking for experienced external consultants who can support us in the delivery of the project "Monitoring, reporting and verifications of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and improvement actions in producing assets".

  • Responsible for taking a lead role in the coordination and development of regulatory reports and applications required for Project operations including regulatory requirements stipulated by the Commercial Lease, Project Certificate, water licences and other regulatory instruments, legislation and approvals (i.e. DFO authorizations, NPRI, GHG, OBPS, MDMER, etc.).
  • Responsible for developing a proficient understanding of applicable environmental regulations and legislation and communicating implications on Project operations to management.
  • Update Project Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans to reflect Projection operations and procedures.
  • Support and coordinate audits and verification of environmental data.
  • Support the coordination of environmental monitoring programs and initiatives in tandem with site environment teams.
  • Provide regulatory advice to support Projects and Operations teams in project planning
  • Support internal and group reporting requirements.
  • Working with asset, production support engineers to monitor and regulate emissions. Work with systems, data and tools as required to simplify and increase accuracy.
  • Work closely with the assets to close their gap to potential, partnering to frame and implement asset improvement plans.
Skills & Requirements
  • Preferably 5 years of professional experience in monitoring, reporting and review of greenhouse gas emissions of developing countries, including GHG inventories and national communications.
  • Degree Commerce, Accounts, environment, energy economics, energy engineering, social sciences, economics or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience developing aquatic monitoring studies.
  • Knowledge of federal greenhouse gas reporting program
  • High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and technical writing.
  • Results oriented with strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Excel.
  • GHG Certification is definite Additional plus
  • Strong aptitude for Learner Mindset
