The Role Responsibilities
Job Summary The SRE Engineer leverages a strong technical background to translate business and user needs into either a working solution or a technical specification. The person will work closely with other team members and the application teams going through the SRE Transformation journey. The person will be responsible for developing and delivering any requirements specific to Observability and Service Level Objectives related projects. This role also involves innovation and delivering new tools to improve user experience and the reduction of toil while improving telemetry and observability for the supported applications. The SRE Engineer can have delegated responsibility.

  • To support the Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap and Delivery of Product KPIs in continuous alignment with the SRE Transformation Journey.
  • Work closely with Delivery, Operations and design teams to ensure delivery of best in class services to customers and uninterrupted service for the customer.
  • Governing the overall delivery process and standards followed within the team. Periodically revise / re-align with standards as required.
  • Advocate delivery excellence, ensuring release quality.
  • Manages the technological stakeholders and teams as required for better collaboration.
  • Supports the experience team in product roadmaps and is an advocate for reusable tools for automation and standardization.
Strategy
  • Support the technology roadmap for the Customer Experiences aligned with the Business and TTO Strategy, build what clients need. Research, analyze and think long-term.
Business
  • Works closely with technology development and support team.

  • Follow agile process for application development.
Risk Management
  • Ensure all M7 risk being tracked and remediated.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • CPBB teams working on the journey, Engagement and Experience Management Team.
  • System Development Heads for CPBB services.
  • System Development Managers for CPBB services.
  • All Technology staff involved in delivering and supporting our CPBB customers.
  • Applicable Internal Country Technology Management Team.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 years of experience developing and scaling complex software environments for web services / applications.
  • Prior experience on SRE, Observability and Monitoring is a plus and the priority.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as ITRS / Geneos, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
  • Hands-on experience in automation by using scripting such as Shell scripts, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Working experience in software and database development using Java / J2EE / Postgres / Spring Boot / API.
  • Good Knowledge in CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket.
  • Experience in design and development of Data analytic tools for predictive analysis and monitoring is a plus.
  • Experience in working with Cloud application hosting and maintenance is a plus.
  • Good knowledge in Containers, Dockers, Microservices will be added advantage.
  • Application performance tuning, performance analysis and tuning, analysing performance metrics is a plus.
  • Working experience in Agile methodology.
