Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Staff Engineer to support the design and development of stress test boards, substrate solutions, and related hardware/software systems for semiconductor reliability testing. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional and international teams to drive hardware readiness for complex test environments, manage supplier interactions, support project timelines, and ensure the quality and compliance of deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience in PCB design, stress testing, and embedded systems, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

In your new role you will:


Develop stress/substrate/driver/adaptor boards & stencil, related hardware and software solutions according to product applications and different stress systems. Verify and buyoff hardware & software and release in time.Development / Improvement of buy-off procedure. Perform specific stress test setup required due to complexity, and deliver the knowhow to Engineering sustaining team. Be part of international teams, working close together with product development and application engineering along all sites. Board development and adaptation according to new requirement derived out of the roadmaps. Participate multiple projects in parallel. Workpackage member for project team. Align and track work flows with external partner companies/business partners. Interface/maintain existing suppliers. Procurement of newboard design. Ensure on time delivery & release. Play an active role within possible problem solving topics (8Ds) and on common continuous improvement activities. Create or update documentation for new hardware/software/processes(work instruction, specification, OJTI..) and ensure they are adequate.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics orequivalent). Min. 3 years related experience in semiconductor reliability stress testing and board design is preferred. Experience in board design, reliability test methodology & concepts,reference standards, working principle of stress equipment and programming knowhow will be an added Advantage. Knowledge of Eagle and/or Altium PCB design software. Experience indesign of reliability test boards and test boards for high power/frequency will be an added advantage. Knowledge in embedded system design (example, Arduino) and programming skills (example, C# and C++). Knowledge on interfaces like SPI, JTAG, I2C, SWI will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge in schematic / electronic circuitry and practical experience on troubleshooting & diagnostic of electronic circuitry. Knowledge on international standards like IPC (example, IPC-7351,IPC-9701, IPC-A-600F, IPC J-STD-001ES and etc) and JEDEC. Knowledge in bias condition of reliability stress test and surface mount technology (SMT) processes will be an added advantage. Good communication and Interpersonal skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
