Job Summary

The Staff Nurse in the Daycare and Endoscopy Unit is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after daycare procedures or endoscopic investigations. The role ensures patient safety, comfort, and compliance with hospital and MOH standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for daycare procedures and endoscopic investigations. Verify patient identity, consent, and readiness for procedures. Assist doctors during procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and minor surgeries. Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions throughout procedures and recovery. Provide post-procedure care, observation, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and procedures. Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing of endoscopes and instruments. Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards. Check and maintain stock, equipment, and consumables in good condition. Support teamwork and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Registered Nurse with valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC). Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in OT, Daycare, or Endoscopy settings. Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, sterilization, and infection control practices. Good communication, teamwork, and clinical skills. Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
