Job Description

Position Summary:

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit according to established standards and procedures. Assist in the training (OJT) for all nurses, students and PCA.

Responsible for carrying out high standard of nursing care and treatment of her patients during her shift. Visit every patient, assess condition, and implement nursing care plan to achieve satisfactory clinical outcomes. Responsible for collections of any specimens when ordered & ensuring correct labeling. Ensure consultants orders carried before the end of each shift. Administer medications to patient according to standard operating procedure. Carry out dressing using strict aseptic technique as per policy and procedure. Treat all patients with consideration and courtesy with respect for culture and religion. Maintain patient's safety by taking preventive measures against accidents and incidents. Check DDA and controlled drugs, emergency trolley, portable oxygen for each shift. Responsible to report to Nurse Managers/ Supervisor of any incidents. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Requirements:

Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience. Preferably with a Post-Basic Certificate. Valid annual practicing certificate. Able to communicate well both in Written and Spoken English language and Bahasa Melayu. Possess a pleasant and caring personality.
