Who are we looking for?


Staff/Chief Scientist Ammonia Technologist is expected to Initiate, Propose and Execute research and development, Debottlenecking/Revamp, Energy saving, Sustainability improvement programs directed towards the improvement of processes and commercial technologies. Lead in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants. Provide technology support to commercial plants for the shutdown, turnover, and re-commissioning as needed. Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants. The ammonia technologist is required initially to support in Growth Projects and be aware of the differences of available licensing technology from main licensors, the differences between licensors leading to the selection of the best technology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters, PhD is preferred.
  • Experience of 15 years in dealing with new product development, preferably experience/collaboration/previous interaction with start-ups.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Leadership skills to work and influence highly talented people with diversified disciplines and cultures.
  • Ability to create, foster and drive culture for innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Highly Self-motivated.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide directions and lead Green, Blue Ammonia development, technology and project selection
  • Aware of Decarbonization solution in the industry and can link it to the technology selection exercise.
  • Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants
  • Development of Plant wide Model in Aspen Plus or like and Guide the Plant Improvements/Performance
  • Carry out Energy and mass balance calculations, Energy Optimization/Pinch Studies, Pump hydraulics calculations, Heat exchanger design & calculations, Various Catalyst performances evaluation, Feasibility study & Revamp study
  • Independently Review Engineering Documents & Steer technology selection and technology improvements.
  • Provide technology support to commercial plants for the shutdown, turnover, and re-commissioning as needed.
  • Collaborate with external companies, start-ups and universities and lead projects toward implementation in the plant.
  • Provide insights, directions and support to products development within the group.
  • Actively contribute to safety culture, coaching young employees and initiate new programs.

Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation. If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client. If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client phone/video interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team from our client will schedule a call with you to evaluate your qualifications. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your phone interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, and they will invite you to a video interview when hiring managers are available. If your resume is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 Video interviews with hiring managers: which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
