About Us:

MAFIPRO, GUINEA FOODS and SFI are 3 companies from the group Denis Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. This agri-food group, aged over 160 years, from French origins and based in Singapore, is having a leadership position on the market in South-East Asia with the brand "Ayam Brand". Its main activities are the production of fish and vegetables in cans, Asian sauces in cans, glass and pouches as well as the distribution of leading European products.

The site of Taiping (North of Peninsular Malaysia), where the VIE is held, gather 3 companies that employ around 1,000 people for the following activities: - MAFIPRO: fish canning (3 factories);

- GUINEA FOODS: fish canning (1 factory) and other food products (sauces, seasonings ... 1 factory). - SFI FOOD: logistics and storage of frozen fish and finished products.

The total production of the industrial sites is around 80 million cans per year, mainly for the South-East Asia market (Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia ...) and export markets (Oceania, Europe and North America), with high-quality requirements related to Ayam Brand. The factories are certified under the standards required by the markets (ISO 9001, ISO14001, HACCP, GMP, Halal, EEC reg, FDA reg, BRC for Guinea Foos, etc.).

As part of our continuous improvement strategy and carbon neutrality roadmap (Scope 1 & 2 by 2030), the intern will play a key role in the deployment of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System under the guidance of the ESG Assistant Manager.

Main responsibilities include:

- Support the implementation of ISO 50001, contributing to the design and structuring of our Energy Management System (EnMS).

- Draft and formalize procedures, processes, and templates in compliance with the standard.

- Participate in the development of an energy-conscious procurement system, taking into account energy performance criteria.

- Monitor and manage the ISO 50001 Action Plan, track progress, and conduct performance reviews.

- Contribute to energy data monitoring using digital tools analysis of KPIs.

- Facilitate awareness among teams through internal communication and training tools.

- Additional ESG-related tasks may include supporting energy-saving projects (steam, lighting, heat recovery, etc.). And Assisting with SBTi and CSRD preparation.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

Engineering or Master's student in Energy, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, QHSE, or related fields.
Experience and Knowledge:

Prior experience or academic exposure to ISO 50001, ISO 14001, or other management systems is highly valued. Knowledge of energy efficiency topics and industrial utilities (e.g. steam systems, compressed air, refrigeration) is a advantage. Familiarity with Sustainability standards (e.g. SBTi, GRI, CDP) or ESG reporting is a plus.
Technical Skills:

Skills in documentation drafting and process mapping (procedures, flowcharts, registers). Basic knowledge of ISO 50001 and energy performance indicators (EnPI, baselines, etc.). Ability to work with monitoring systems, meters, and energy data.
Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills in English (TOEIC > 800 or equivalent required); French is a plus as the management team is partly French-speaking. Autonomy, adaptability, and sense of initiative. Strong organizational and analytical thinking. Interest in sustainable development, climate change, and industrial efficiency. Experience in project management or working with cross-functional teams is a bonus.
Global & Cultural Awareness:

Good adaptation skills (knowledge of Asia is an advantage).

Pay: From RM1,200.00 per month
