The day start early for a ST fact finder & commissioning engineer on site in a power plant, a safety toolbox talks where everyone gathers, and an alignment talk to go through the daily activities. The ST (Steam Turbine( fact finder & commissioning engineer then runs through the day by either performing inspection on the steam turbine or performing commissioning activities on the steam turbine, conducting discussion with internal stakeholders e.g. project manager, outage management team and service engineering colleague. He/ she then finalize the daily inspection outcome and prepare a finding presentation along with the recommendation for both internal and external stakeholders only if required, or in the case of commissioning he/ she would prepare a status report and plan the activities for the next days.

When a ST fact finder & commissioning engineer is not on site, he/ she will be working in the office preparing for his/ her next assignment by attending discussion on outage preparation meetings, trainings and provide remote troubleshooting assistance to internal / external stakeholders when needed.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

\xc2\xb7 Performs specialized engineer level work in the field in one or more of the defined specialty tasks such as inspection on turbine related components and auxiliaries, providing recommendations to customers based on specifications and requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Perform on-site installation of systems, equipment, after market upgrades and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation incl. requests for emergency repairs and services, troubleshooting and provision of instructions to onsite team and customers

\xc2\xb7 Contributing to planning and implementing commissioning activities, supporting, and coordinating installation activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager, implementing commissioning design changes, providing mark-ups for as-built project documentation.

\xc2\xb7 Supporting continuous improvement of process/product/system design, participating in internal review meetings, providing inputs on commissioning activities and other tasks and equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Perform commissioning of turbines during COLD and HOT commissioning phases, starting from single component to the full system (Turbine and auxiliaries) according to specifications and engineering documents, including functional tests and logic interlocks verification and reports.

\xc2\xb7 Effectively identifies technical or schedule problems as they occur and takes appropriate actions to resolve including escalation of more complex issues to a higher level, providing expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians of customers.

\xc2\xb7 Performs measurements and compile records to document condition of equipment and assure quality, provides required documentation and reports in accordance with the procedure.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the appropriate standards in Quality and HSE are always followed.

\xc2\xb7 Performs day to day activities as part of a team or as stand-alone function and other duties as assigned.

\xc2\xb7 Supervise, execute and/or support any other given specialist task during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance of Siemens Energy equipment as per cross-training and multiskilling concept of Field Service in AP and relevant capabilities.

What You Bring

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor/ Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Process). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, work experience in the relevant field of work is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation.

\xc2\xb7 Good general skills in mechanical maintenance activities of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas industry and willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in difficult conditions.

\xc2\xb7 Digital literacy, confident user of relevant IT-applications (Microsoft Office), additional IT-competence will be beneficial.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in Siemens Energy Large Steam turbine SST5-X000 and other OEMs operations, maintenance, and inspection know-how as well as rotating equipment vibration diagnostic and balancing are an advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Pro-active, problem solving and ready to work attitude, readiness to take additional tasks to improve the status Quo if needed.

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of relevant industry standards for Quality and HSE

\xc2\xb7 Fluent in English Language (Written & Oral), other languages are beneficial.

\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing attitude.

\xc2\xb7 Team player with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams.

\xc2\xb7 Willing and legally able to work and travel independently and extensively to all Siemens Energy work locations and countries in region AP as well as work in a workshop environment in Kuala Lumpur
