The Pharmacy Store Assistant supports the efficient operation of the hospital pharmacy by managing pharmacy inventory, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and protocols. The store assistant works under the supervision of pharmacists to deliver high-quality service and appropriately manage inventory to enhance patient safety and hospital revenue.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Inventory Management.
Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of medications and pharmacy supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
Conduct regular inventory checks, track expiration dates, and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
Receive, verify, and store incoming shipments, cross-checking against invoices and updating inventory records in hospital systems.
2. Compliance and Record-Keeping.
Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards, and safety protocols in all tasks.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, dispensing logs, and other documentation for audits and compliance.
Report discrepancies in stock or dispensing to pharmacists to prevent errors and ensure regulatory adherence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
SPM or equivalent.
