This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grocery store, ensuring efficient store functioning, excellent customer service, profitability, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company policies. The manager leads the team, coordinates workflows, maintains store standards, and drives sales performance.
What you'll be doing
Daily Operations
: Oversee the daily operations of the grocery store, ensuring efficient and profitable functioning.
Staff Management
: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and customer service standards.
Customer Service
: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, addressing complaints and feedback promptly.
Inventory Management
: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and make key decisions about stock control to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
Sales and Marketing
: Develop and implement strategies to increase store traffic, enhance sales, and optimize profitability through promotions and marketing efforts.
Financial Oversight
: Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and track daily sales to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability.
Compliance and Standards
: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations, maintaining store condition and visual merchandising standards.
Problem Resolution
: Address and resolve any issues that arise from staff or customers, fostering a positive work environment and customer experience.
Administration & Reporting
: Complete daily paperwork, reports, and log sheets while communicating key operational updates to upper management.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a retail manager, preferably in a grocery store setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer management skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in inventory management systems.
Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
A positive, friendly and helpful attitude.
