Job Description

Overall Responsibility



The Storekeeper is responsible for the day-to-day management of inventory at the Central Kitchen,

including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording of raw materials, packaging, and supplies. This role

ensures stock accuracy, proper storage, and timely support to production and outlet dispatch operations. Core Responsibilities:

Receiving & Inspection



? Receive incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies

? Verify quantity, quality, expiry date, and condition against delivery orders

? Report discrepancies, damages, or short deliveries immediately

Storage & Inventory Control

? Ensure proper labelling, storage, and stock arrangement

? Practice FIFO / FEFO for all applicable items

? Maintain organised dry store, chiller, and freezer areas

? Monitor stock condition and identify expired or slow-moving items

Stock Issuance



? Issue materials to production and dispatch teams based on approved requisitions

? Ensure accurate recording of stock issued

? Support outlet delivery preparation when required

Documentation & Record Keeping

? Maintain stock cards, issue logs, and inventory records

? Update stock movement in Excel / Google Sheets or inventory system

? Prepare inventory reports when required

Stock Take & Audit Support

? Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts

? Assist during stock takes, audits, and internal checks

? Investigate and report stock variances

Coordination



? Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams

? Inform supervisor of low stock levels and stock risks

? Support operational needs during peak periods

Compliance & Safety

? Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

? Ensure compliance with company SOPs and Central Kitchen policies

? Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of storage areas

? Apply proper lifting and manual handling techniques

Physical & Manual Handling Requirements



? Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move heavy items

? Able to perform manual labour, including loading and unloading stock

? Comfortable with standing, bending, and lifting for long periods

? Able to work in a warehouse / central kitchen environment

? Male candidate preferred due to the physical nature of the role (subject to management decision)

Job Requirements



? Minimum 1-2 years experience as a storekeeper or warehouse assistant

? Experience in F&B / Central Kitchen / Bakery / Restaurant / Manufacturing is an advantage

? Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock handling

? Familiar with FIFO / FEFO practices

? Able to perform accurate stock counts

? Basic computer skills (Excel / Google Sheets preferred)

? Detail-oriented, organised, disciplined, and reliable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
