The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and controlling the inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts used for facility operations. This role ensures that all items are properly received, stored, recorded, and issued in accordance with company procedures. The Storekeeper must maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and support the maintenance team by ensuring timely availability of required materials.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials, tools, and spare parts for quantity and quality.
Record all items received and issued in the inventory system or logbook accurately and promptly.
Maintain proper storage and labeling of all materials to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
Monitor and control stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking of frequently used items.
Prepare and issue materials or tools to technicians based on approved work orders or requests.
Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety within the store area at all times.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineer for replenishment and stock forecasting.
Keep records of damaged, obsolete, or returned items and report to the supervisor for further action.
Assist in preparing monthly inventory reports and summaries of material usage.
Support emergency maintenance operations by ensuring quick access to required tools or parts.
Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor to support smooth facility operations.
Job Requirements:
Certificate/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in facility management or maintenance operations.
Familiar with inventory control systems, record-keeping, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Able to handle physical work such as lifting, organizing, and arranging materials safely.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsible, honest, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to work according to shift schedule.
Immediate availability will be preferred.
