Job Description

Job Responsibilities



Analyze sourcing requests and identify suitable suppliers from the

approved supplier panel

. Prepare

Requests for Quotation (RFQ)

, conduct

quote analysis and negotiations

, obtain

Sourcing Committee approvals

, and award new business to suppliers for

finished products, components, and tooling

. Develop and execute the

supplier sourcing strategy

based on business needs, categorizing suppliers into

grow, fix, or exit

groups, and conduct

make-or-buy analyses

. Introduce new suppliers across

Southeast Asia, India, Mexico, and North America

. Ensure accuracy of

info records and purchase orders (POs)

and communicate relevant data to Supply Chain Management (SCM), including

Incoterms, lead times, prices, and minimum order quantities (MOQ)

. Drive improvement of key procurement KPIs, including

Material Productivity (CMP)

,

Lead Time Performance

,

Delivery (STR/STC)

, and

Quality (DLPM)

. Improve

material productivity

by maintaining a 125% material pipeline, conducting

CMP, TEBIT, and WAV analyses

, and leading

Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)

projects with the Engineering team. Manage

supplier pricing

and

Price Increase Authorization (PIA)

processes effectively. Maintain supplier capabilities and capacities to

prevent production constraints

. Optimize

MOQ

for materials and components used in production and establish

supplier agreements

such as VMI, EDI, consignment, and scheduling agreements. Lead

supplier footprint consolidation

by onboarding new suppliers and reducing supplier base size for efficiency. Ensure all suppliers comply with

TE's corporate standards and regulations

(e.g., RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals reporting, and supplier portal requirements). Oversee the

contracting process

for supplier agreements, including bailment, inventory management, and supply contracts. Conduct

Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

with key suppliers and drive corrective actions as needed. Perform regular

supplier risk assessments

and ensure accurate data submission to finance through OV tools. Collaborate with teams on

ISO documentation, process audits, and compliance checks

on a regular basis. Support the

tactical buying team

in inventory management, outside product handling, and invoice blocking as required.

Job Requirements



Bachelor's Degree

in Engineering, preferably

Mechanical Engineering

. Minimum

10 years of experience

in sourcing or procurement, preferably in

electronics, stamping, machining, molding

, or

connector/cable assembly industries

. Strong

problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

with a customer-focused mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. Excellent

project management

and multitasking abilities, with experience in

matrix and multicultural environments

. Proven ability to develop

competitive sourcing strategies

and deep understanding of market trends and supplier dynamics. Familiarity with

regional and global supplier bases

for relevant commodities. Proficient in

SAP

and

Microsoft Office applications

(Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Fluent in

English

, with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, teamwork, and innovation.

, with strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
