Role: Strategy ManagerStart Date: ImmediateEmployment Type: 4 Month ContractLocation: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaMISSION FOR THE ROLEAs the organisation approaches the end of Phase 1 (2020-2024) of its 2030 Strategy, the mission for this role is to facilitate a comprehensive, participative review of TFM\'s 2030 Strategy.This role reports to the CEO, with a dotted line relationship with the Finance & Operations Director and is expected to work cross functionally with all teams.KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Approval from TFM\'s Board of Trustees for the revised 2030 Strategy
  • Percentage of organisation that understands and is aligned to the revised 2030 Strategy
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Project management of the 2030 Strategy Review (50%)
  • Develop a comprehensive review plan for the 2030 Strategy, outlining timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Facilitate current landscape analysis through group discussions and workshops with various TFM stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather feedback and insights on the current strategy\'s effectiveness, and identify emerging trends and opportunities relevant to the revised strategy.
  • Analyze all collected data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and potential strategic adjustments.
  • Coordinate the task-forces responsible for developing and presenting recommendations for the revised 2030 Strategy to the leadership team.
  • Manage and delegate tasks to ensure the review process stays on track and meets deadlines.
  • Prepare progress reports for the CEO and other key stakeholders on the review\'s findings.
Crafting the Revised Strategy Document (30%)
  • Draft the revised 2030 Strategy document, incorporating feedback and recommendations from the review process.
  • Ensure the document clearly outlines TFM\'s vision, mission, strategic objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate the revised strategy in a concise and compelling way, considering different communication styles for various audiences.
Knowledge Management & Communication (20%)
  • Develop communication strategies to effectively disseminate the revised 2030 Strategy across all TFM departments.
  • Develop and maintain a central repository for the revised 2030 Strategy and related documents for easy access and reference.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team in presenting the revised strategy to the Board of Trustees.
  • Create training materials and workshops to educate employees on the key aspects and implications of the revised strategy.
  • Monitor and measure employee understanding and alignment with the revised strategy, using surveys, focus groups, or other methods.
  • Develop a plan to address any concerns or questions from employees regarding the revised strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability or experience of holding people to account to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Able to engage and facilitate dialogue between a diverse range of stakeholders
Years of experience & qualification
  • 2 years of experience, preferably working within strategy consulting, project management or corporate planning.
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Able to think strategically, critically, innovatively, and in a resourceful manner.

Language & Technical Proficiency
  • Strong written, verbal skills and excellent proficiency in English and professional working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, or Google Workspace equivalents, especially in PowerPoint.
  • Willing and able to readily adopt and utilise any TFM database or technological platform / application (i.e. Google Workspace, Confluence, Salesforce, Zoom etc.).
