Responsibilities:

We are looking for intern to join our team to help deliver projects with our charity partners focusing primarily on Future Skills, Climate Solutions and Local Priorities pillars. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to be involved in project(s) covering areas such as financial literacy, employability, nature-based solutions (e.g. peatland restoration), health, education, disaster relief, amongst others. Depending on the nature of the project, you will be required to provide support in:

  • Working with our charity partners in planning, coordinating and executing staff volunteering activities/ engagements, as well managing volunteering platform for bank staff
  • Assisting the Country Head of Corporate Sustainability as the point-of-contact before, during and after activities and engagements,
  • Managing charitable donations to ensure all risks and controls are in place,
  • Conducting ad-hoc research and analysis, and
  • Ensuring effective internal/ external communications on all CS activities as required.
  • Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in sustainability management and be increasingly prepared for working in a dynamic and futuristic working environment.
Requirements

Key Requirements:
  • Availability to work full time from July 2023 - December 2023.
  • Working towards a degree in sustainability management, biology/ ecology, environmental science, or other relevant degree.
  • Knowledge of key sustainability issues, ESG international standards/principles and best practices and their relevance to the banking sector would be essential.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active and has strong desire to learn, good team player and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and within team.
  • Skill in project development and execution, coordinating activities, evaluating data and establishing priorities.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
