Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Train level 1 inspectors and oversee their activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
\xc2\xb7 Conduct core part inspections efficiently on a timely basis per requirements received from the Buyer/Planner. Primary role is for level 2 inspections, but level 1 inspections will be included at times to assist or supplement level 1 inspector\'s work.
\xc2\xb7 Determine the suitability for use as is or repair of items that don\'t pass level 1 inspection.
\xc2\xb7 Conduct or oversee internal minor repair activities including, but not necessarily limited to: Replacement of faulty casters & Torqueing or re-torqueing of bolts and nuts to specification
\xc2\xb7 Handle all materials according to all applicable safety procedures for protection of self and others to prevent unnecessary damage/loss of materials.
\xc2\xb7 Inspect items thoroughly and consistent with documented inspection criteria and procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Add or replace R Part number and RECYCLE labels and replace protective tape or stick-on plastic as needed.
\xc2\xb7 Complete cleaning and packaging in accordance with specifications and procedures for all items that pass inspection.
\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with warehouse personnel for move to storage as needed.
\xc2\xb7 Accurately enter the results of all inspections in the system provided to enable process metrics on pass/fail rates with failures grouped by failure type.
\xc2\xb7 Facilitate CIP of the processes, collecting input as needed for the update of criteria and procedures for parts added to the program and driving timely documentation, management approval as needed, training and implementation of improvements.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor usage of spare parts and maintain a running inventory of stock on hand. Submit purchase orders as needed to maintain sufficient inventory on hand without significant excess.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate with Lam Engineering Team on items that fall in \xe2\x80\x9cgrey\xe2\x80\x9d area - do not clearly pass inspection.
- Be able to articulate via use of photos/videos to get a pass or no pass decision.
\xc2\xb7 Provide Management with Failed Inspection Data Monthly - # of Items that could not be converted to Repaired -part.
- Pareto of failed inspection items with reason codes
Other Job Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in SAP Inventory Management and Warehouse Management Modules
\xc2\xb7 Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access
\xc2\xb7 Ability read and understand applicable policy and procedure documents and technical drawings.
\xc2\xb7 Mechanical ability and good judgement to evaluate risks associated with minor to moderate damage to the caster fixture items.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to identify repair solutions and assess cost/benefit.
\xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail and a high-level quality orientation
\xc2\xb7 Willingness and ability to follow established safety and operating procedures with consistency and accuracy.
\xc2\xb7 Willingness and ability to adapt to change.
\xc2\xb7 Strength and ability to safely lift and/or move large and sometimes heavy items.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to safely work with and around warehouse equipment such as hoists, forklifts and the like safety gears.
Desirable Skills:
\xc2\xb7 Forklift certification
\xc2\xb7 Mechanical or industrial engineering or similar background
