KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To liaise with coal supplier regarding proper coal shipments scheduling e.g. prepare and finalize monthly coal delivery schedule based on coal shipment schedule submitted by the supplier and to submit the master schedule as agreed by coal handling engineer to the coal suppliers within the required time frame.
• To monitor closely on all incoming coal shipments to ensure timely coal delivery and unloading as well as to minimize bottlenecking at the wharf.
• To assist coal handling engineer in carrying out the coordinated shipment programme and to ensure effectiveness of its implementation.
• To update suppliers\' coal delivery performance and coal stock level status from day to day and to discuss with coal handling engineer on any shortfall or discrepancy and subsequent action to be taken.
• To arrange monthly coal coordination meeting with the coal supplier as per agreed time and date to be arranged before end of the month. Subsequently to prepare and submit minutes of meeting to coal suppliers within seven (7) days after the meeting and to follow up on the action taken and advise coal handling engineer accordingly.
• To coordinate properly with Gobel Industry and on-duty Coal Control Supervisor on coal trucking activities with approval from coal handling engineer to smoothen the progress of coal unloading and storage arrangement to ensure the normal coal supply to the station is not affected.
• To advise coal handling engineer on the stockpile management and stock movement activities to ensure proper handling and storage of coal within the SPC coal storage yard.
• To assist coal handling engineer in carrying out monthly coal stock checking internal coal movements, maintaining stock at optimum level as well as ensuring stock are maintained in good condition (e.g. prevent spontaneous combustion and spill over of coal).
• To liaise with Gobel Industry Sdn. Bhd. (the transporter) to ensure they carry out the clearing/removal of coal spillages along the access road after completion of every coal trucking service to ensure environmental compliance.
• To monitor coal spillages at the Wharf/Jetty and other area within coal handling to ensure environmental compliance.
• Participates in safety and health activities. Participate in safety and health activities.
• Participates in testing/commissioning of coal handling, operational related equipment or machinery after maintenance as and when required.
• To coordinate with coal control supervisors on equipment care taker programme to ensure smooth implementation. Subsequently to prepare and submit weekly report to coal handling engineer for compilation and discussion( if necessary) with operation manager on any actions to be taken for further improvement, etc.
• To assist coal handling engineer in carrying out supervision of any project or work service within coal handling section as and when necessary.
• To carry out any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION:

• Diploma in Engineering

SKILLS:

• Knowledge on logistics management, coal chemical and physical characteristics and the coal combustion principle would be an advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self-motivated, good leadership and coordination skills.
• Computer literate.

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
