Responsible for the mechanical maintenance, operation and repair of mechanical services to the at the workshop of Completion of planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities for all plant and equipment. Directly accountable for day to day of mechanical workshop matters to the Facilities Manager Workshop Administration \xe2\x80\xa2 Instructs, directs and supervises the activities of workshop mechanics in proper workshop or garage operating procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Devises and carries out precautions against industrial hazards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains inventories tools, workshop equipment and other supplies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor manpower and resource allocation under Mechanical Section. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure training and skill upgrading programs are provided to staff. Engineering Operations: \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform minor repair, trouble shooting mechanical system malfunction (eg: motor, pump, vehicle, and related pond equipment issue) and inspection of mechanical system as required by the user/operator and report to superior of any abnormality. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prescribes work detail, specifications and procedures to be adopted in special undertakings related to the repair, maintenance and modification of equipment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Undertake supervision on repair and restoration works of components sent to mechanical workshop f from other section or department for repair are completed in required manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 To carry out maintenance work on mechanical equipment as per plan schedule through the work order issue by planning department and supervise works progress to ensure work is completed. \xe2\x80\xa2 Designing and scheduling procurement plans for services and maintenance items relating to mechanical. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend daily/weekly planning meetings and issue and ensure jobs are carried out to recognized standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Order required equipment for projects and to maintain workshop equipment availabilities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Supervise jobs and assist with fault finding on breakdowns Budget: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist Facility Manager to prepare yearly budget (OPEX and CAPEX). \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor expenditures (OPEX and CAPEX) utilisation related to mechanical job functions Report: \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the following reports are prepared accordingly, accurately and timely: Prepare and submit monthly report related to assigned job function. o Monthly Activity Report o Maintenance record o Vendor performance \xe2\x80\xa2 Quality, Health, Safety & Environment: o Ensure that Quality and Safety Procedures pertaining to maintenance are fully understood and carried out by maintenance team, in house or outsource.
