KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Performance routine condition monitoring data collection, data entry to data base, prepare periodical condition monitoring report and trending. Also, to perform post maintenance/overhaul equipment acceptance test.
• Writes and prepares reports, records, etc.
• Files and compiles test reports, drawings, specification, maintenance manual, etc.
• Performs routine condition monitoring work and record taking, which shall include monitoring of all rotating equipment\'s vibration, temperature, noise level, oil quality, pressure, etc.
• Use of computer, condition monitoring instruments, analyzers, inspection equipment.
• Performs some simple lab analysis, such as metal hardness test, crack test, etc.
• To arrange for calibrates and possible repair of all the simple precision measuring tools, such as micro-meter, caliper, dial indicator, etc.
• Diagnoses equipment failure based on condition monitoring data using specified tools and technology.
• Assists in promptly dealing with any breakdowns or emergencies.
• Assists in Risk Analysis and reporting and Reliability Issues on the power plant.
• Uses typical shop machines and tools.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers and other employees using principles of good customer service and performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the superior.
• Undertakes training to enable job holder to upgrade when required.
• Wears the safety equipment provided by the company and abides strictly to safety rules.
• Carries out relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION:
All positions in this job class require applicants to possess minimum:

• Certificate in Engineering or MLVK Level III from Universities and Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by the Company, or
• Form 5 with minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience and attained relevant competencies as required would be an added advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years of practical and general experiences in station business nature and/or any other related fields.

SKILLS:

• Knowledge of the manuals, procedures and equipment used in the plant operation.
• Knowledge of plant safety and accident prevention measures required for carrying out condition monitoring works.
• Knowledge of thermal power plant operation and its auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to read and write English and Bahasa Malaysia, follow oral/written instructions.
• Basic knowledge on condition monitoring such as vibration signature analysis.
• Able to operate computer for condition monitoring data entry, trending, and reporting.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
