Position Overview

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations within our cable production facility. This role ensures production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and with high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a small-company environment, balancing shop-floor supervision with administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities for cable manufacturing lines. Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and adjust priorities to meet production schedules and customer deadlines. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards. Train, coach, and support production staff to improve skills, productivity, and teamwork. Monitor product quality, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance/engineering teams on equipment concerns. Track production metrics (output, downtime, scrap) and provide reports to management. Assist in planning inventory usage and coordinating with purchasing to ensure material availability. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing, preferably in wire/cable or related industries. Strong knowledge of production processes, safety practices, and quality standards. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a small team accountable. Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Comfortable balancing hands-on supervision with paperwork and reporting. Proficiency with basic computer applications. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site role within a small but fast-paced manufacturing facility. Requires standing, walking, and supervising on the production floor for extended periods. Occasional lifting and interaction with machinery.
