What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting RBC IS Canada . Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements \xe2\x80\x93 income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 20/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our \xe2\x80\x98centres of excellence\xe2\x80\x99 and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Work as part of the Reconciliations Production Services team to assess research, analyze and document business needs related to TLM and Tableau applications in order to resolve issues and improve processes by recommending business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

You will be supporting Canada region, working hours would be between 4pm-1am or 5am - 2pm or 6pm-3am. However, flexibility is required to support business needs.

What will you do?

• Monitor system feeds from various sources and ensuring no delays to the reconciliation process.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to and problems reported by the Global Reconciliation teams and also respective.
• Ensure all Service Now tickets are resolved on a timely manner and all exceptions raised to the Manager.
• Ensure regular communication with key stakeholders & oversight team.
• Recommends business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs whilst exploring and assessing options for value add-on
• Monitors TLM access for appropriateness and consistency between users.
• Responsible for updates and review of all key risk related documents.
• Produce and maintain statistical information, preparation of reports and analysis for decision making.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 3-5 Years of financial services industry experience in an operations environment
• Banking experience in operations within Funds Management/custodian environment.
• Basic reconciliation knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize actions.
• Demonstrate coaching and leadership ability.

Nice-to-have

• Competent in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Competent in MS Access DB
• Familiar with core platforms: TLM
• Strong analytic skills
• Good decision making & problem solving skill
• Concern for order and quality
