Supplier Development Engineer

Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

We are currently seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join our Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur office.

As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will approve and develop new and existing suppliers to required levels of performance expected by Honeywell and lead qualification of parts manufactured by suppliers, lead improvement of supplier productivity, safety, and quality for assigned suppliers, and develop & maintain relationships in order to improve partnerships between Honeywell & suppliers. As Honeywell\'s point of contact within the supply base, you will support transition and supplier development activities within your assigned geographical area. In support of a variety of supplier oversight functions, you will be spending approximately 80% of your time at supplier facilities

Key Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for coordinating with Procurement, Site Quality and Category Manager.

\xc2\xb7 Organizations for enabling growth & quality improvements at preferred suppliers.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for supplier qualification thru Honeywell Supplier Common Assessment

\xc2\xb7 Part approval thru Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

\xc2\xb7 Monitor and report on supplier productivity performance and initiatives to improve.

\xc2\xb7 Interface with Suppliers, Quality, Operations, & Engineering, & Procurement organizations to drive quality improvements.

\xc2\xb7 Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier major quality issues.

\xc2\xb7 Drive use data analytics to identify the most important issues to focus effort on.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for other duties and tasks as directed.

\xc2\xb7 Lead new supplier qualification and first article qualification cross-functional teams.

\xc2\xb7 Leading NPI ,VE CE along with commodity Managers

\xc2\xb7 End to end responsibilities for project implementation

You Must Have

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering

\xc2\xb7 5+ years of experience in managing and developing suppliers

\xc2\xb7 Strong technical background ideally in machining, stamping and plastics

\xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of advanced Quality engineering practices

\xc2\xb7 Self-starter, able to work independently, passionate to solve complex problems.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to act as a consultant to Suppliers, Quality, Manufacturing, & Engineering to improve process & quality.

\xc2\xb7 Accurately captures, records, analyses, and communicates information

\xc2\xb7 Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems

\xc2\xb7 Good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal

\xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

\xc2\xb7 Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently
