About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality and supplier development for bumpers, injection-molded, and painted parts. This role ensures supplier compliance, drives continuous improvement, and supports new part approvals in line with automotive quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance. Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and corrective action follow-ups. Lead PPAP and PSW approvals for new parts and design changes. Drive defect reduction and process optimization using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis. Support supplier training on quality tools (FMEA, SPC, control plans). Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor and report KPIs on supplier performance and quality metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering (or related field). 10+ years in supplier quality within automotive or related manufacturing. Strong knowledge of injection molding, painting, and bumper manufacturing processes. Proficient in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with BIW, painted components, and injection-molded plastic parts. Familiarity with multi-shot or gas-assisted molding. Global supplier management experience.
