Job Description

As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be Global ASICS/MEMS quality expert focused in Asia, working within the Supplier Quality Engineering department with our global semiconductor suppliers and their respective supply-chains. You will provide support through the full product life cycle and will have the skills, knowledge, and expertise to lead and drive high quality solutions to complex technical challenges and global quality initiatives. The roll involves extensive collaboration with cross functional team across our global network. The position will reside in the Sensata Malaysia site, reporting directly to the Global ASIC Manager in Antrim Northern Ireland and have an indirect reporting relationship to the Asia Region SQ Mgr in Malaysia.

- General Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Organizes resolution of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of product specifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Key participant in active support during the supplier selection process, to ensure that a well-prepared and best supplier \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides technical input for strategic sourcing projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Key participant in / requests Supplier Risk Assessments \xe2\x80\xa2 Supports drawing and tool design reviews, works on measurement concepts Experience / Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity \xe2\x80\xa2 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

• Clearly conveying and receiving messages to meet the needs of all. Fluent in English.
• As the Business Centres are in Asia and China, good local language skills are expected.
• Presentation skills. Prepared to create presentations and to present to a variety of audiences; customers, suppliers and Sensata senior management teams.
• Certified VDA auditor/internal auditor/CQI certified auditor qualification will be advantage. Capable to perform supplier audits (VDA 6.3 or BIQS) created reports and ensure timely closure of all actions.
• Analytical and numeric with the ability to collect and analyse data. Familiar with SPC and statistical processes.
• Result oriented. Positive thinking behaviour. \xe2\x80\x9cGoing the extra mile\xe2\x80\x9d.
• Good problem-solving skills. Able to break down a big problem into small pieces and helping to fix it.

• Experience in Advanced Quality Planning and Supplier Performance Development with knowledge of various Quality system methodologies; 8D, 5 Why\xc2\xb4s, Lean manufacturing, Pareto data analysis, FMEA, PPAP, etc.
• Able to work under pressure to tight timelines and still deliver excellent results. Sound technical knowledge of Integrated Circuits Manufacturing either Wafer Fabrication and/or Electronics Packaging Assembly and associated testing is essential to the role.
