Job Description

Ensure accurate management of Supply Operations cost utilization through:
a. Validation of all demurrage claims
b. Track & analyze demurrage performance for monthly reporting
c. Perform demurrage recovery claims
d. Assurance of smooth demurrage payment
e. Vessel turnaround initiatives
f. Monthly demurrage and recovery accruals

Works closely with Schedulers, to provide the analytical support and improvement plan for the key operational areas:
a) Vessel utilization and vessel size optimization
b) Freight costs analysis and optimization studies, Cost Variance Analysis (CVA)

CVA: 7-10 days preparation (depends on number of vessel per month)
1-report/month (however doing a lot of follow-up) with other users (Schedulers / Deal Making / Channel Optimizer / Terminals)

Contributes to the Enterprise Value add by supporting the Supply Ops team in achieving Operational Excellence through:
a. Analyze and report on actual performance against plan/ target
b. Facilitate effective data, information management and knowledge sharing
c. Generates transparent leading performance indicators /KPI measurements, contributes to Supply Operations dashboard
d. Leads Demurrage CVA
e. Management of demurrage and acting focal between load port and vessel owners
f. Management of vessel turnaround performance (terminals, shippers)

Supports Supply Operations Manager/ Team Lead in HSSE matters to ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with safety guidelines & procedures. Engage and contributes to HSSE audits & assures contract compliance in operational matters e.g.: LOD1, MPM Self-assessment, SMBR, HSSE MS Audit, HSSE Plan and management quarterly meeting update.
Ad-hoc basis

Ensures lessons learnt and improvement points are shared. Proactively engage and communicate to the supply teams for corrective actions and improvement opportunities Work with Finance team, to correctly allocate product tariffs/freight/demurrage costs/ claims/ recoveries to the appropriate costs centres/ Shell entities. Ensures data entry and payments are executed by responsible parties in a timely and efficient manner.
1-transaction/month (accrual)

Support and participate in SEA Improvements Initiatives and CI projects, including reporting of initiatives to management.

Job Requirements


Minimum Degree in any field.
Computer literate.
Possesses Financial, Administrative and Analytical skills.
Cost Management & Reporting.
Use of computer and communication systems.
Microsoft Excel - Intermediate or Advanced Level and familiar with formula - VLOOKUP, PIVOT.
Understanding of contracts/agreements.
Knowledge of financial systems/packages.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Attentive to detail.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
