Responsibilities:

• Manage a smooth flow of all supply chain activities such as Warehouse & Logistics, Planning, Purchasing and Sample department.
• Take up the role of building a bridge between the global business and local operational need in dynamic international environment.
• Oversee the main activities from the warehouses and third party logistics for which to strategies and optimize the warehouse performance.
• Ensure a smooth handover between transport planning and shipping department by setting up a clear strategy for an optimized logistics operations.
• Runs logistics tendering process with the third party logistics and haulers smoothly and support the HQ\'s team in global tenders of sea/ air freight.
• Act as the liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers and set up pro-active plans to continuously improve the capacity.
• Build and maintain an efficient and effective supply chain function and organization for your team.
• Advise and coach the team in complex situations through best practices , vast experience and analysis to report important supply chain trends from a helicopter view to the higher management and at the same time drive the necessary detailed actions in operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in medium to large scale international companies from which minimum 5 years in a managerial position.
• Well-versed in customs import and export regulations.
• Strong in analytical thinking with passion for process and data mapping.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP.
• Excellent in interpersonal, written and verbal communication with all levels of people and in both languages, such as : Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• A real team player who is passionate to go the extra miles in order to achieve the ambitious targets.

Preference:

Possess experience in wood manufacturing industries is highly preferable with global and local exposure.
