You will be a contributor, not a trainee, as you become familiar with the company's business systems and methods of operations.As a Texas Instruments Supply Chain intern, you'll be assigned a challenging project that will allow you to apply the Procurement and Logistics knowledge you have gained in college. • Defining and developing efficient sourcing processes that support our strategies
• Reducing transactional workload and cycle time through innovative solutions and systems
• Identifying cost reduction opportunities through innovative programs such as supplier managed inventory, second sourcing, and reverse auctions
• Working with suppliers, wafer fab management, and engineering groups to implement cost reduction projects
• Working with suppliers to achieve step function improvement in their performance
• Working with procurement category teams to achieve targeted objectives (reduce cycle time, reduced total cost of ownership, improved customer relations)
• Analyzing potential suppliers in low cost regions
• Improving ROI on service contracts
• Managing suppliers for improvement in pricing and performance worldwide
• Working with overseas manufacturers to build a competitive advantage for TI by procuring from low cost regions
• Process Purchase Orders

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management or a related fieldd
• Minimum Cumulative 3.5/4.0 GPA

• Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global team environment with other technical teams

• Knowledge of the procurement process and supply chain management is essential. Good customer focus and team negotiation skills are needed
