Key accountabilities :

Supply Planning:

  • Monitor, plan and place purchase orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods as per MRP requirements.
  • Make decisions with respect to purchase quantity, delivery date and inventory levels within established guidelines.
  • Interact with approved local and overseas vendors to expedite and follow up purchase orders to achieve established guidelines.
  • Review MRP messages according to the established schedule (according to the standard work documents), execute planned orders as according to the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Identify issues and find solutions to lead time and schedule conflicts.
  • Maintain the Item Master accuracy, and System integrity for responsible master planning families.
  • Maintain reports as required to communicate material status,
  • Identify issues and find solutions to lead time and schedule conflicts
  • Maintains Contract Database and keeps copies of current certificates of insurance and other WHS documentation
  • Perform other duties and tasks including improvement projects as assigned

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

Education Qualification:
  • Degree in engineering/finance/accounting or equivalent


Technical Competence & Skills:
  • Proficient to an Intermediate Level in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers or employees of organization. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Relevant Experience:
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in buyer or a planner role ideally in a manufacturing environment
