Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
Support localization initiatives and alternative sourcing to reduce dependency and cost.
2. Procurement & Cost Management
Source materials, components, and services according to production needs and project requirements.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
Prepare and review supplier quotations, purchase requests, and comparison analyses.
Work with the Purchasing and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely purchase order processing.
3. Supplier Performance Monitoring
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
Coordinate with Quality and Production departments to resolve supplier-related issues.
Maintain supplier performance records and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Follow up on non-conformance and corrective actions when required.
4. Cost Analysis & Reporting
Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and price trend studies to support management decisions.
Identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities in the supply chain.
Prepare sourcing reports, supplier evaluations, and monthly cost tracking summaries.
5. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, and Planning teams to understand material and delivery needs.
Ensure smooth coordination between suppliers and internal departments for on-time delivery.
Communicate sourcing progress, delivery risks, and alternative solutions to management.
6. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Participate in supplier development and improvement initiatives.
Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Stay updated with market trends, new materials, and innovative sourcing practices to strengthen supply resilience.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum
2-4 years
of experience in
purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management
, preferably in a
manufacturing environment
.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and procurement processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.
Experience with
local and international sourcing
is an added advantage.
